Brenda and Gavin

We love Brenda and Gavin. There's just something about twins (Michael and Brenda) that makes such a special bond. It makes it even better when the twins get married to people who fit right in to that special relationship. Brenda and I are so similar and so are Michael and Gavin. Crazy how that works.

Checking to see what's leaking under the car. Charlotte and Ivan were very curious. Wondering where Ivan is in the picture? He's completely under the car.

We made the effort to go see Brenda and Gavin while they lived in Casper, WY. It wasn't really on the way home from our trip to Tennessee last summer, but it worked. Now they live much closer in Twin Falls. We had been collecting baby items for them and were really glad for an excuse to visit. They have a pretty sweet house, with plenty of rooms for us and the kids. This gave us the chance to actually play games while we were there!

We also had a picnic at the park. We picked up Panda Express, thank you pregnancy cravings, and headed to the canyon. Where else do you hang out in Twin Falls? Ivan and Michael went fishing and we met a cool guy with a parrot.

Just fishing with dad. Ivan is really getting good. He can do it all by himself.

Aw, we're so cute.

This is the guy with the parrot. I was sitting on a bench near where he was sitting when Ivan came over and saw the bird. He wanted to go say hi, but I want him to learn to ask. It's a good thing we asked since this bird isn't always nice. Ivan loved it. The parrot did a couple tricks for us, we said hello, swing in circles, and did a cute little walk.  I'm thinking I should learn more about parrots...

Brenda had to work one of the days we were there, which actually turned out to be ok. Michael and Gavin had a man date and went kayaking. I took the chance to visit the DI. It was huge! I found lots of great things, like I always do, and actually had a really fun day with the kids. It was a little weird being at Brenda's house by myself, but that meant I didn't have to feel bad about taking a 2 hour nap on the couch. When the boys came back we headed out for Brenda's work party at another park. They had free pony rides, a potluck dinner, and the location was beautiful. There was a stream running through the park and a playground. The kids had so much fun.

Cheese!

This is the only picture I got of Brenda and Gavin. Shucks.

Count to 3

Weee! Side note, I took several picture of this and every time Michael would throw Ivan, Ivan would spread out exactly like this.

"I'm a cowboy!"

And Charlotte wasn't very sure about this. She liked petting the horse but sure didn't want to ride it. She sat just long enough to snap a picture and she was done.

The most fun we had the whole evening was running down the hill. I've never heard Charlotte giggle that much. Ever.

Ivan loved it too! Good thing dad was there to catch them, the stream was right behind them and was a little fast flowing for my liking.
