A Mormon Holiday

Pioneer day is all about the mormons. Out here in Idaho and Utah it's a real holiday, and celebrated like the Fourth of July. This year we decided to check out the parade in St. Anthony and enjoy the day outside. It was a beautiful day, as usual - thank you Idaho, and this parade was by far the best I've seen in ages.

The rest is just gonna be pictures, since I took so many.

Playing peek-a-boo

Getting excited for the candy!

The parade started with a few cops and an ambulance leading out. They had their lights on a used the siren a couple times. Ivan thought that was much too loud.

Ah, learning how to grab candy from parades. We sat next to some really nice people with teenage kids and they let Ivan have first dibs on all the candy.  Charlotte just loved this cow, she mooed the whole time she could see it.

Cowgirls riding with a leg on each horse.

Talk about cool floats! I was so impressed by the dozens of amazing floats we saw. Most parades just have big trucks or tractors driving in them. That's not a real parade if you ask me!

Fully enjoying the bag full of candy we got. And maybe a nutragrain bar as well. They also threw out some otter pops, that was cool!

This was Ivan's favorite float.
